I like the simple ideas such as finding a stable point where there is confusion, and the general approach to the problems of work. However, some work environments are so insane that the good advice given in this book simply cannot be applied, and the only sane thing one can do is walk away. Bit like corporate Scientology, really - when you have sociopathic dictators take control, one simply cannot apply sane principles in that situation. There are a lot of working environments (corporate and government) where this has happened, and sociopaths have taken over, leading to horrible working conditions, and driving out the most skilled people.
However, for saner working environments, the book has some useful pointers, especially in frankly explaining how intelligence and ability/competence are not always factors in being successful.
