Review Detail

Scientology Books
November 11, 2012
This book was L.Ron Hubbard's answer to removing toxins and pollutants from the body so that a person could get maximum gains from further spiritual counseling in the form of Scientology auditing. It is in fact considered a form of auditing in itself. This was considered by Ron to be an effective method to remove drugs (legal prescription as well as recreational),toxins and pollutants from a variety of sources in our environment including radiation stored in the body.

The book covers in detail the procedure followed while doing the program and has some of the history of the research done that culminated in the Purification Rundown as it is delivered in Scientology organizations today and contains interesting information about how various toxins lodge in the cells of the body.

Anybody who feels like drugs they are taking now or in the past has dulled their senses or has affected their ability to think clearly or has affected their memory or anyone who knows somebody who feels this way might find this book very beneficial as a guide to alleviating these disabilities which affect optimum mental functions.

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
An excellent guide that explains how biochemical factors which affect a person's well being long after a person has been exposed to them can be removed using a regimen which is explained in detail.

Cons
The book is not a do it yourself manual as the explanation of the book above suggests. The administration of the program and the rundown itself should be supervised by trained individuals and can't be done solo safely by most people. Vitamins, minerals, and essential oils need to be monitored and increased precisely throughout the program. That information isn't included in the book in any detail. However, there are people outside of the church who have been properly trained to administer the program correctly.

Bottom line...

Want auditing?

self-analysis

START HERE

Self  Analysis (August 1951):  Possibly the best introduction to the subjects of Dianetics and Scientology. Self Analysis contains both a series of essays on the basic discoveries Ron had made up to this point in his research as well as an extensive auditing section that a person can do by themselves right at home. The book contains a special version of the Hubbard Chart of Human Evaluation and a series of tests one can do to discover where you're really at. Then, by applying the processes from the second half of the book, one is guided through a path of self-discovery. At the end, you will re-do the tests to confirm your improvement. How good can you get? These techniques have been in use for more than six decades and Ron referred to them again and again throughout his research, stating that the processes here were capable of curing any neurosis.

This is the starting point for anyone wanting auditing. You will be audited by L. Ron Hubbard himself through the pages of this book.

Find a copy in used bookstores or at Alibris.com, Amazon.com, eBay. Or you can buy a new copy from these Church of Scientology organizations (but once you give them your address they may continue to send you junk mail) Bridge Publications or New Era Publications.
