Six-Month Checks Hot

Like many of the OT levels, New OT VII, Solo NOTs is audited "solo" — meaning you are your own auditor.  It is a lengthy action normally requiring several years to finish and in the past it was only delivered at Flag in Clearwater, Florida. Every six months, the solo auditor on New OT VIII was required to return to Flag to make sure everything was in good shape. In the beginning, it served its purpose. Solo Auditors were straightened out on any points of procedure they needed help with and if there was some situation in their lives that needed attention, this was dealt with and the pre-OT returned home ready to continue. That innocuous scenario then morphed under David Miscavige's hidden agenda and turned into a cash cow for Flag with parishioners dragged in for sometimes months (MONTHS!) at a time, given lengthy sec checks (in complete violation of C/S Series 73 and its later revisions, wherein LRH stated that pre-OTs who were running well on their level should not be interfered with in any way with sec checks or anything else), regged for IAS donations or packages of materials, the Super Power Project or anything else that FSO registrars could think of to suck money out of them. Parishioners were required to pay for accomodations and living expenses while all this was going on, away from home and their families and unable to work and earn their living. Everything was put on hold while they were, frankly, abused financially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually under the guise of their Six Month Check.
