London Congress on Dissemination and Help
June-August 1960, 7 lectures.
These lectures were a combination Congress and open lectures to the broad public. The main topic was how to disseminate Scientology broadly but contained technology that also applied to getting preclears into session, which is defined as "interested in their own case and willing to talk to the auditor." Ron had observed that before anyone could make gains in session, they had to be interested in their own cases. Many people were not up to that point and so he discovered the four buttons, termed the Deadly Quartet, that could bring a person up to the level of interest. At the bottom of this search he found that the Help button was the major factor involved. Many people had been so disabused that such a thing as help even existed that they felt help was not even possible. The technical solution was Presession Processes, which brought a person up to an interest in his case and the feeling that something could be done about it. LRH found that these same principles could be applied as well outside of auditing to bring any person up to an interest in Scientology. Thus, broader dissemination became possible.
