This is the series that preceded the famous Philadelphia Doctorate Series Course Lectures and is the companion series to Scientology 8-80. This series marks a pivotal point in Dianetics and Scientology because it details the advance of his research from an orientation to MEST to one of theta. He remarks in one lecture how Scientology was not stepping for the first time beyond the scope of survival into the realm where one cannot do anything but survive and where the dynamic principle of existence is Create!

These ten lectures relate more to Scientology 8-8008 and the PDC lectures than to 8-80, which was concerned with theta as it controls and creates MEST. Beyond survival, which is contingent on time and having, there is being. The definition of self-determinism has been refined to include creation, conservation, alteration and destruction of matter, energy, space and time both in the MEST universe and in the being's own universe.
They are among the first to mention Standard Operating Procedure for theta clearing, a single uniform procedure that applies to all cases and therefore the predecessor of the current Bridge and Standard Tech.
It took me years to accept that the MEST universe is a kind of "virtual reality" and all the sensations in it are our own agreed-upon creation. Here, LRH makes this plainer than ever.

Cons
The lectures were given to professional auditors with some background knowledge of LRH's previous researches, so they are not a good starting point. You may need to back-track through 1951 and 1952 to fully grasp everything.
