Author
L. Ron Hubbard

1st American Advanced Clinical Course
(earlier released as Exteriorization & the Phenomena of Space)
October--November 1953, 84 lectures

Over a year, Ron delivered a course for advanced students, often small groups of a dozen students, first in Camden, New Jersey and then in Phoenix, Arizona. In the first of these, Ron investigates the perceptions and abilities of a being outside the physical body. Scores, even hundreds, of objective processes were developed during this period of research. In these lectures, Ron explores the being's ability to create space and answers why a being is located in a body.

Absolutely fabulous!

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
Has a couple of processes which can be self audited "if you are OT enough." I audited myself on two of them and got incredible OT abilities and the only auditing I had had was the Purif, one Dianetics session, some self-analysis and LRH group processing lectures. I want to warn anyone who embarks on these processes, though, because one turns on a slight nausea feeling (Perimeter Processing) and the other turns on extreme vomiting–like stomach reflexes (Eight Anchor Point Processing in Brackets). These early processes were very OT, which is why they are so rough, before the bridge was streamlined for everyone and anyone to more easily approach it. But that is also the reason why they give so much case gain if you can confront it. We have been trapped and trapped others, and that's what they are undoing, which is the reason why they turn on the reactions they do. LRH says that Perimeter Processing is the way you get out of a Theta trap if you were to ever find yourself in one, and that Eight Anchor Point Processing in Brackets audits out the programming that keeps sending you back to the implant station lifetime after lifetime. It also has a group auditing process which you can listen to while LRH audits you which is absolutely fabulous. It discharges tons and tons of mass.

LRH explains the true sciences of the MEST universe and elucidates how and why our current sciences for mathematics and physics are wrong and why! It is very easy for anyone to understand and I did not take notes or do any transcribing of it and really wish I would have, because it could be used to fly in the face of Scientology attackers out there who claim that Scientology contains no true science! LRH also explains how to build a spaceship and the exact mechanics of it are just now being discovered by Asian scientists, 60 years afterward! He also states that there are 30,000 meteorites hitting the moon each day, and when you are up there you can hear them going "boom, boom, boom" which also could not be known at all in the year 1953 when he made this lecture. He also describes the electronic screens around the planet, which are they are to hold in the atmosphere, since this is an atmosphere planet and if they weren't there, the whole atmosphere would be sucked out into the vacuum which is outer space. He also says that they are the reason why all the other planets in the universe get hit by an enormous number of meteorites daily, except for the atmosphere planets. The meteorites tend to bounce off the screens (not burn up before they reach the atmosphere, which is science's explanation.) He also explains that the radio engineers think it is mysterious that when they beam their radio waves out outer space they are reflected back at them, when the reason why is because of the screens!

Anyone who has read about the screens in "The Role of Earth" or anywhere else would understand that the screens are also utilized to trap us Thetans here. Thetans have a Theta mass body around them, which is usually a smoky gray looking covering in the same configuration of the body they held before they kicked off. It is either this reasoning or because we also have engrams and pictures stored in our theta memories which are made of actual physical mass, no matter how light. I have not studied enough to know exactly how it works, but knowing the above is true, I'd imagine that's how.

I also delighted in finding out how a person becomes a "Natural Clear". Although this term is relatively unknown in the COS it is actually quoted in a 1979 policy. If you go to www.STSS.nl which goes over the before and after changes to technology by David Miscavige. This really blew a lot of charge on me to find this out because LRH describes how just being in outer space alone is a vacuum which sucks all the mass off of one and you become clear. I had an old 2-D when I was in the church who was certified a natural clear but he was actually a rabid 2.5% SP. I am quite sure he said that LRH certified him as a natural clear back in the 70s. I can understand how LRH could of done such a thing and was extremely enturbulated by it. But it makes total sense that LRH had no choice but to designate him as a clear, because even though he had overts that showed up on the meter, he didn't consider them as overts, he told me and kept telling them so. This is also in keeping with the original Scientology 8-8008 book of 1952, which states that there is no such thing as wrong or right, according to a Thetan and most ideas as such are just moral codes. LRH also states that a Thetan cannot go around victimizing others without becoming anything else but the victim. So therefore, if a Thetan decides to do more wrong than right, that will be his lot in life – eventually becoming powerless.
Cons
None whatsoever that I can find. I am now mid my 10th ACC and this is the very best one I have studied. I was really sad in to see that others gave it such a low score.

OK if you're doing the SHSBC or Full Chronological Study, but if not... you can find something else that will better reward your time and attention.

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
THANK GOD they are not all like this. This ~80 hour lecture series, is probably the reason more people have NOT listened to the ACCs. The UP SIDE though is after you make it through this one, every other lecture series you listen to will be better than it.
If you're doing a full chronological study, you will make it through, and if not, you will just skip past this one.
There ARE however some REALLY incredible bits (few and far between).
One example was a process "Where is the past located" which turned on higher dimensional perception. Many other processes were given which were later found unsuitable for general use, but MAN did they pack a PUNCH!
Cons
The vast majority of techniques presented were either too high level, too explosive, or too difficult to deliver. This course was delivered to 10 very high level students. It has a different flavor than any other lecture series, but it feels very slow, with a low density of valuable information.

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
I just got through listening to these. It is a bit difficult to maintain concentration through so much information. These lectures were given to a small group of students, so there are varying elements of LRH as showman, entertainer, group leader, and teacher. The teacher bits are really good, but the signal to noise ratio is sometimes very high. One of the things about these early lectures that I find of value is that LRH stressed that Emotion was the bridge between effort and thought, and gave action definitions for each emotion, and related them to the tone scale, and other factors. There is an action definition of grief, for example, that is amazing in it's simplicity. There is also an dis-course on "enthusiasm" as a false emotion, that I think is extremely valuable. Much great information!
Cons
It an be a slog sometimes, through some of the less informative sections, but I think it IS vital that all of it is preserved, so that listeners have the full "context".
