The Pro TRs Course

This is a mandatory course to do in pursuit of auditor training.

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
The Pro-TRs course was a blast for me to do. I’ve personally seen over a thousand people get through this course to see the improvements in their willingness and ability to interact with others improve. It broke down the obstacles of communication by breaking it down in to parts that I found explained a great deal of misunderstandings that I experienced or observed in others. A good communicator is an even better listener I believe. A listener who actually HEARS what another is saying or at least is able to go back and fix a problem as a result of having something to evaluate where it went off the rails is someone who can then focus on their goals and get there. I’d say that children invariably experience the failed acknowledgement to their streams of efforts to say something to an adult. Perhaps more than not they get a “stop interrupting”, “be quiet” or “go play” instead of a listening ear. In the reverse of that is when they get the stern “LISTEN to ME!” or “You’d better listen to what I’m saying” to enforce something on the child. The variations of errors in communicating that imprint a kid’s behavior and become catalysts for unfortunate decisions and habits and carry them in to adulthood. These wrong lessons they learned can be shattered on this course. It can open the road back up to starting to communicate with the world again newly with a fuller understanding of how to relate to life, people and pursuits.
Cons
You need a twin who can do the same schedule as you and a supervisor to get through this course ideally.

I did this course at Flag in the 70's. I got a lot from it. I somehow felt that I had gotten power back that I had lost. I felt completely comfortable and (in the moment - so to speak). When I finished it.

A course that revitalises abilities

Pros
It improves ability to handle anything.
Cons
I would not recommend doing it at Flag now. I would recommend doing it at an independant Scientology Organisation or group.

This one was horrible for me. I did it at a corporate Scientology centre. I did not mind the basic concepts, and could see the reason for them, to get one present in present time, to be there, to totally look at what one was looking at without distraction, to be able to give and receive communication. so the basic idea was good. A very Zen type of thing. However, when actually doing the routines, I hated it, and felt like I was being brainwashed to be a robot. It was horrible, and I hated every minute of it. I was pulled off it eventually, and there was no repair offered. Horrid.

Pros
None for me.
Cons
Many - I guess it was not done correctly. The basic training routines were good, but I think horribly over-run, and gave me the feeling I was being programmed like a robot.

I added up recently that I have done over 2000 hours of TRs. My three Pro TRs courses in the CofS took about 8 or 9 weeks full time (very full time) each. The last one with the clay table processing was the most fun. I sup'd a bunch of TRs too.

Realistically, a professional auditor needs to do a Pro TRs course. Someone else? Not so much. It's kinda nice to have the abilities, but it's not so easy for most people to take 2 months out of their life to do it.

Pros and Cons (optional)

Pros
You get your TRs in much better!
Cons
Can take months full time to do it by the book. The EPs on the CofS checksheet (like can handle any social situation however rough by TRs alone) are overstated and guaranteed to give a graduate a loss if he is at all honest.
